Shipping Policy

HOI offers you two modes of shipping.

• Normal Shipping via India Post - Normally takes about 10-12 days, depending on the country of destination. This shipping is cheaper, as the Indian Govt gives a relief from processing fees required for the customs clearance and fuel surcharges.
• Express shipping via FedEx – Normally takes 5-7 days for guaranteed delivery.

All the goods are cleared from the Govt of India for exports, and all the regulations required for export to a particular country are supported with proper documents. HOI has done all the necessary paperwork required from its end, but the buyer needs to take care of the import regulations at his/her end. Though all due diligence has been taken to get all the approvals, recent changes to laws at the customer end might not have reached us.

You can choose the delivery mode while checking out the item. HOI directly passes you all the discounts that it gets from its shipping partners. Currently the shipping for many items would seem inordinately expensive, but do treat the shipping cost as part of the item cost, as it is shipped directly from the source of origin. This is the support that you would need to provide to the artisans so that they can bridge the gap and earn a better share of the deal due to them. When they are able to sell to you directly, they cut through a lot of layers, and receive a larger share of the profit. We will be constantly renegotiating our deals with our shipping partners, and as and when we are able to negotiate a better rate with them, we will pass them onto you.

As soon as your item is shipped, a tracking number will be attached to your order. You can view the same by logging into your account, and viewing your purchase history. You can then track your order on the IndiaPost or FedEx tracking systems, according to the option that you selected while placing your order.

Please also take some time to read our shipping chart here. Shipping costs are incurred as per the weight (in rare cases as per the size) of the item and the destination country. We suggest that you club items to fall within a weight slab to be able to gain the maximum out of your shipping costs. We will also be suggesting items to you, which you can get shipped for free with a particular order on the basis of the total weight of the package.
